Complete Document Checklist
Gathering all required documents is the most crucial part of your Stipendium Hungaricum application. Start early and ensure all documents meet the specific requirements.
-
1. Online Application Form (Official Website)
Complete all sections accurately with matching information in all documents. Apply here.
-
2. Online Application Form of Your Own Country (if needed)
Complete all sections accurately. Check for the link Here.
-
3. Motivation Letter
Clearly explain why you chose the specific program, university, and scholarship program.
-
4. Proof of Language Proficiency (English/Hungarian)
Submit proof of language proficiency of your selected program's language. Any proof such as the medium of instruction of previous studies will work, but the Bangladeshi Ministry prefers IELTS (at least a 7 is usually what selected students score).
-
5. School Certificates and Transcripts
Notarized (from a first-class gazetted officer) copies of SSC, HSC (for bachelors).
-
6. Medical Certificate
There is a downloadable medical form PDF on the official Stipendium website. Print it and ask a doctor which tests are required (usually a blood test and chest X-ray). Fill the form after getting the results and obtain the doctor's signature. (Tip: I did mine at Dhaka Community Hospital for 1-2k BDT. You can submit this form after getting nominated in Stage 1).
-
7. Copy of Passport
Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended stay in Hungary.
-
8. Police Clearance Certificate
Although not explicitly asked by the Stipendium committee, it is very important to get nominated by the Bangladesh Ministry.
-
9. Extra-Curricular Certificates
Since this scholarship is extremely competitive, try to submit and show every little activity you did throughout your entire life.
-
10. Portfolio (for Art & Architecture programs)
Showcase of your best work relevant to your field of study.
-
11. Research Plan (for PhD applicants)
Detailed proposal outlining your intended research area and methodology.
-
12. Letters of Recommendation (2)
Strictly required for PhD Applicants.
