Frequently Asked Questions
What major should I study to get a fully funded scholarship?
The best major for a scholarship is the one that genuinely aligns with your academic strengths and career goals. Scholarship committees can immediately tell when a Statement of Purpose does not reflect authentic interest. Use our Major Matchmaker to identify fields where you're most likely to excel, then search our scholarship database for funded programs in that area. STEM fields attract the most funding globally, but Humanities and Social Sciences are heavily funded through Erasmus Mundus and Chevening.
How do I know what I should study abroad?
Start with your genuine strengths — what subjects energised you most in school? Then consider your career goals and the scholarship landscape in your target countries. Our free Major Matchmaker Quiz combines 15 targeted questions to match you across 12 academic fields in about 4 minutes. The result gives you a ranked list of degrees to study abroad, each linked to real fully funded scholarships.
What is the best university major for international students in 2026?
Computer Science, Engineering, and Medicine consistently attract the most fully funded scholarships for international students in 2026. However, the best major is the one you can defend convincingly in your application — scholarships reward authentic academic fit, not subject prestige alone. Business, Law, Environmental Science, and Education also have strong scholarship backing through programs like Chevening, Erasmus Mundus, and Türkiye Bursları.
Can I change my major after winning a scholarship?
Most government scholarships (DAAD, Stipendium Hungaricum, Chevening) are awarded for a specific program at a specific university. Changing majors after winning typically requires notifying the scholarship provider and may result in losing the award. This is precisely why choosing the right major before applying is so critical — use our quiz to lock in the right field before you apply.
